The Cornish Wayne Manor

No matter how avid a Batman fan you may consider yourself to be, there’s a man named Paul in Cornwall, England who will give you a run for your money.  Over 30 years, he has turned part of his home into what has been dubbed “The Cornish Wayne Manor”.  Complete with a Batman museum, a Batcave in the garden, and what looks like fully-functional Batman-themed bar, it’s one of the most impressive Batman memorabilia collections we’ve ever seen.  And what’s better, all the proceeds go to charity!  Enjoy the images below.

Fox Promos TV Guide Coverage

TV guide has posted a great story covering the new Fox “What’s Adam West Watching?” promo campaign as well as an interview with Adam West.  Here’s an excerpt:

Adam West, star of a new Fox network promotional campaign called “What’s Adam West Watching,” couldn’t be more comfortable with comedy. This is the man, after all, who played one of the darkest crime fighters for campy laughs. “They have the Dark Knight, OK? I’m the bright knight, if you will,” says the star of the ’60s series Batman.

The 81-year-old actor’s cool deadpan still serves him well in duties ranging from mayor of Quahog on Family Guy to the new promos, in which he tells viewers which Fox shows he loves, with much comedy along the way. TVGuide.com recently caught up with West.

What’s Adam West Watching?

At the CBS Studios in Studio City, I did an on-camera interview with regards to THE FAMILY GUY for FOX Promotions.  All went well and the writers and producers there were all a very clever guys.  They seem to ‘understand’ my humor.  The NBC pilot that I did a few years back, titled, LOOKWELL was always mentioned by these talented young guys.  We all laughed as the pilot gags were remembered.

About a week later I get a call from my agent saying the same talented writers and producers want to do a series of sketches on what Adam West is watching on the FOX Network.  Once I read the inventive scripts I knew I should do these clever, yet very offbeat sketches.

We filmed them all within an eight hour day….starting around 11 ayem until 7pm….complete with set props and costume changes.  The crew went from one sketch to another.  It was just that fast.

I was very pleased with the outcome. And from my e-mails so are many of you.

Bat wishes,
ADAM WEST
